DISEGNI
Nove miliardi di nomi di Dio
2022 - 2023
A patient and impossible search.
The series draws inspiration from Arthur C. Clarke's science fiction short story "Nine Billion Names of God" and was created during live painting events at Artmall in Milan, Italy (2022 - 2023). The hand replaces the machine in the tale in an impossible attempt to decipher it, appealing to geometric shapes composed of an incomprehensible code full of gaps.
The drawings are meant to be in perpetual balance between the search for order, the lack of information, and the difficulty of finding a meaningful language that can fully describe a meaning for the real, in the constant effort that comes from competing with an imaginary machine.
